This application is for students to apply for Student Senate committees, Faculty Senate committees, any Ad-Hoc committees, and any Task Forces that need student involvement.
Single Event Funding Request
1.) There is no such thing as too much information. The more details you provide with your request, the easier it will be
for AFAB or its committees to make a decision.
2.) AFAB does not fund personal food or advisor expenses. Please omit them from your request.
3.) The requesting organization must contribute a minimum or 50% of total travel (defined as registration fees,
transportation and lodging costs.
4.) AFAB only funds a maximum of $1500 per student organization per academic year.
5.) Representatives from the traveling group are strongly advised to appear at an AFAB meeting before the event/
activity to present justification as to why a request is desired and what sort of things will be attained that will benefit
those students, their organization and campus. A follow-up meeting may be requested by the AFAB with the traveling
group after the event/ activity to see if these were attained.
6.) Submit funding requests at least 30 days before your event (unless special circumstances warrant exceptions).
7.) Organizations requesting funding for more than one event must submit separate Single Event funding request forms
for each event. If the same organization has more than one funding request under consideration at one time, the
organization will prioritize these requests.
General Guidelines for All AFAB Funding Requests
1.) AFAB funding consideration is available only to recognized UWRF student organizations that have governing
documents with clear written purposes or a mission statement.
2.) On-campus programmatic events and services that are open to the general university community are encouraged and
assigned a higher priority for AFAB funding than off-campus events and activities that involve smaller numbers of
students.
3.) AFAB recognizes the value in appreciating diversity, leadership development opportunities, free speech, and student-initiated programming and is committed to representing these ideals in its many programs and activities. Decisions related to the allocation of funds must reflect viewpoint neutrality.
4.) AFAB funding allocations for one academic year are never guaranteed for subsequent years.
5.) If this form is inaccurate, incomplete, submitted late, or filled out by a nonstudent, it will result in an automatic
denial.
6.) Student organizations that wish to receive funding may only receive Single Event funding if they did not receive an
Annual Budget during the same year.
7.) Single Event funding requests will be accepted on an ongoing basis as established by the AFAB—beginning after all
annual budget request decisions have been completed for that year, and will receive consideration until April 15th
of the spring semester (as long as funding is available through the AFAB committees).
